So I recently upgraded from my Moto Droid 1 to an HTC Thunderbolt. I am attempting to do a factory reset on my motorola droid 1 in order to give it to my friend. I'm running a rooted stock 2.2.2 and I'm having some issues.
When i go to settings>privacy>factory data reset the phone just resets and does not erase anything. So naturally I attempted to do a factory reset from recovery mode, but my phone wont boot into recovery, even from ROM manager.

Any other way to do a factory data reset?

you have to check your Droid's Bootloader version.

Keep the "Up" in the keyboard, and push power key, then the Droid will get into Bootloader.

Remeber the version number and shutdown the Droid!!!

If the version is 9078,keep the "x" and push power key to get into recovery mode

If the version is 9073 or 9074,keep the camera key and push power key......
