My mom has an SGH-i747 (AT&T Galaxy S3), and the other day, the settings app turned into a little green Android, and if you tried clicking on it, it would say "Unfortunately, Settings Has Stopped Working". We tried uninstalling apps, and finally deleting all settings and data (after taking all of her data off of the device). Now the phone turns on and goes to the language selection screen, at which point hitting next causes the "Unfortunately Settings Has Stopped Working" error to pop up.
I tried going through Kies, and Samsung's new Smart Switch app, and I couldn't find any way to re-install the OS. I was looking at going the CWM route and flashing some ROM off of XDA, but I can't get to the settings to enable the developer options and debugging mode. I used to have an SGS III, and I flashed it a few times, so I'm fairly familiar with the SGS 3's operating system.
Is there any hope for this thing, or is it toast?
