I have downloaded some files and apk apps, but I have searched high and low for the location of the downloads. There is no "files" or "myfiles" app. Help!

That's weird, I have a "My files" app. Anyway, the other way to get to your files is through Settings: Device Maintenance: Storage where you will find "Documents" under User Data

My Files is in the App drawer.

Are you guys talking about the S8?
Under Settings I don't have a Device Maintenance choice.
Where do I find the "App Drawer"?
Finally, I looked at all the Samsung Apps and don't see anything there, either.
So frustrated ...

the app drawer is by default hidden, you can swipe up or down on the home screen to see it, or long press to bring up the widget menu, and activate it under home screen settings-- apps button.

Swipe down or up on the home screen click on Samsung folder then click my files and your downloads will be in that folder
