So I make a file for my phone hidden by putting a ( . ) because I want to store some pictures that I don't anyone to see. Now if I go to my files and click show hidden files I can see it just fine and its contents. Now if I connect to my computer and want to see it I cannot find it any where. It is stored on my SD card. I have set my computer to show hidden files as well but still no luck finding it. Any help or thoughts?

Delete the period. If you want to secure files, there are encryption apps, or you can keep them in a cloud storage and not save the password. Trading convenience for privacy/secrecy is worth considering.

I have deleted the period. Still cannot see it. This works good for hidding it I would just like to be able to control it from my computer.

A hidden file on Windows is a file that has the hidden status bit set. A file on Windows that has no name to the left of the dot is an invalid filename - you can't do anything with it. (The OS in Android is Linux, not Windows - they work very differently.)

In Windows, go to organize, folder options, and check show hidden files. When you have an unrecognized file type, Windows reinterprets that file surrounding it with $. You can search for $*. *$ and it should show up.
