Can't find Old SMS/MMS in Hangout in Nexus 5

I have used MyBackup Pro to copy my old phone's SMS/MMS and have restored them in the Nexus 5.

Now the problem...where are the old SMS/MMS messages. Is there a special area or button that I'm missing? I'm used to have all messages and seeing everything. I'm only seeing messages since I activiated, a T-Mobile message and old Hangouts that I tried on my old phone. But no old SMS/MMS messages.

Any suggestions? Others may seeing the same thing. :-\

I used the free app: SMS Backup & Restore. I made a backup on old phone, moved the file to my PC. Then I started up the new Nexus 5, installed Textra (cleanest SMS app I could find), changed Hangouts to not be the default SMS app, installed SMS Backup & Restore and restored my SMS backup file. All worked smoothly.

You can skip my steps wrt Textra in-case you want to use Hangouts for SMS as well.

SMS Backup & Restore does not handle MMS messages, only SMS.
