I'm so bummed out! I was hoping to get this tablet on this weekend (I have a trip to San Antonio) and I can't find any available!!! BestBuy says they're all sold out, and so does WalMart (I want the black version, but heck, if that's the only thing available I'll take the white version). :(

My only option is to have it shipped somewhere, but I don't know which hotel I'll be at and I'm only there for three days (can't risk it not arriving on Monday even with expedited shipping). Does anyone else know where this tablet is being sold at in San Antonio? Even Laredo if it comes to that... I've only found it online in Best Buy and in WalMart.

Thanks!

Yup, I did... Rep said he could only see stock in Brownsville (two days ago it was available in ONE San Antonio store, but today that stock was gone). I wonder if they're saving everything for Black Friday... In any case, it seems I'll go empty handed this weekend :(

I'll try Office Depot but they don't show store availability online.

Thanks! The nearest one is in Austin (and I am going there on Saturday), but it shows as out of stock there, too :( It shows as available in Dallas, but it's way too far off my route.

I purchased mine on Amazon. 32 GB for $569 with not tax, I added next day shipping for $8 and had it the next day. I originally had gone to best buy but after waiting for 20 minutes for someone to help me and then finding out they didn't have them in stock I remembered why I primarily shop online these days.

Got mine today at Frys. Not sure if they have locations in your area. Took me all this time to decide then you make a decision and can find one is fustrating. Customer service at Frys is not the best but they keep me coming back due to their inventory only.

Well I did it... couldn't find a single freakin' tablet in all of the San Antonio area so I ordered one from Amazon and had it shipped overnight to the hotel. Still fingers crossed that nothing happens and the package arrives safe and sound to my hands tomorrow.

Talk with all the hotel clerks and make sure they know who you are. They are the ones who will make sure you get your package.
I have had many boxes and packages sent to hotels in my work. If I arrange it before I actually depart, I always call ahead to the hotel to let them know it's coming.

Things usually work without a hitch. If there is a hitch, a clerk that knows it's for Mr./Ms. xxxx will be sure to accept it and hold it for you.

Thanks! I did call ahead at the hotel, but you know, having something thus expensive being delivered to someone I don't know to a temporary address I don't live in, will always have me biting my nails until the whole thing is over and I have the package safe and sound in my hands hehe

:-) did your tablet arrive, safe, sound and in time? Just curious , and how do you like it if you did get it?

Hey, thanks!
It did! Overnight, actually hehe I ordered it on Thursday and had it on Friday right before I got to the hotel.

So far I love it! EXCEPT for one little tiny thing that's been (I think) discussed a lot around here: The TERRIBLE button layout. I mean, inverted volume rocker? Come on! And all of the covers I found have the same issue: The darn home button is upside down when using it in 'keyboard' mode. On top of that, the home button lies exactly where your hand usually holds on to the tablet when carrying it around. Result? You keep pressing it accidentally, and if you're using a cover, chances are you won't even know you did (but you'll notice the battery drain by the screen going on and off repeatedly). If the device is so much like the Note 3 in terms of design, why on Earth didn't they keep the same button layout? I know they meant to 'force' us into using the tablet in landscape mode, but still...

PS: @dianehelen You're avatar picture is SOOOO COOL!
