I use my new Samsung Epic 4G for work (by the way not impressed at all with this very expensive and "high tech" phone) . Anyway when dispatch sends me an email I can't forward it in text form. On my old Blackberry (much better phone) when I clicked options one of them was forward as text. Some of my drivers dont have email addresses so you can see why not being able to forward as text is bad for me. Am I missing something or is there an app that wont add too much other "junk" that will allow me to forward an email in text form.

Thanks,

srsuth

If you are not impressed with the epic, maybe you are not familiar with it enough - but back to your question, you could simply cut and paste your email into your text messaging app - problem should be solved.

Also some phones are more suited to how you use them, I would think that if your BB worked fine, why would you want to switch? In other words if you don't need a big screen and you need a specific function that only a BB can give you, whay not stay with a BB?

My wife use a Treo 755p (like a BB) I use an epic - in the work enviorment she is in, no way could she use an epic, she needs a keyboard right out in the open with easy one handed access. Where I use mine for remote desktop access to workstations and servers, so a bigger screen with pinch and zoom helps me a lot.

I am a former Blackberry user and find myself frustrated with the very same issue... and I can't get my HTC Inspire to copy/paste from an email (unless it's gmail, and, sadly, this needs to be from hotmail)... so do I really need to set this phone up to forward all of the hotmail emails to gmail so I can copy/paste into a text message? If that is so then yes, I'm about to head back to Blackberry. But I'd rather just have an easy way to get my hotmail emails into a text message format.:)

I concur I am selling my phone asap hell the evo is still 199.99 and they had the epic for......$19.99 are u kiding me! I think its a small cult of epic owners it jus didn't hit right...I'm over it
