Can't get fullscreen on my TV using slimport Nexus4

Hi guys,

I just got my slim port, I have a problem. When I play movies I am unable to get it to full screen
The output shows as 1080pvon my TV however there are black bars on the right side and left side, some movies black bars on all sides so its a just a video in the middle. I saw saw many YouTube videos and all show full screen output.

I tried mxplayer and normal android player both with same result

On the nexus 4 the videos fill up the nexus 4 screen. If I use HDMI from a laptop the video from the laptop fills up my TV screen

I tried playing around aspect ratio on MX player it didn't help.

Also how can I disable the nexus 4 display when a movie is playing on slim port.

please help, i can't get it to display in fullscreen and Mxplayer always plays the video on my tv and on my phone at the same time.

Because TV screens are 9:16 and the N4 screen is 9:15.
