Can't get rid of alarm notification

I cannot for the life of me figure out why there is an alarm notification at the top of my screen. I can't get rid off it. I cleared out all "Clock" data in the app manager but that didn't work. I rebooted. I cleared the cache partition. No go.

Any idea what else I can try?

Is it a notification (left side, expandable bar) or an 'alarm set' icon in the notification bar (right side)? If it's the first, tap and hold on the notification and see which app is triggering it. If it's the second, then have you installed any other clocks or alarm apps, maybe apps that can do something at certain times lately? Any alarms set in Google Now?

Lastly, I would try booting up in Safe Mode and see if it shows up there.

Sorry.....right side....so it's indicating that there is an alarm set. There definitely isnt an alarm set in the Clock app or Google Now. No new apps were installed that pertain to any type of alarm.

I went into safe mode, it wasn't there....rebooted and it's back :(

OK, that's good! If it's not there in Safe Mode, that means it IS a third party app that's causing it.

Bad news is, you need to find that app manually :( In safe mode you can start each app that could have an alarm set up and see which one is prompting the notification icon.

OMG I figured it out. Driving me freakin crazy. So I use an app called "To Do Reminder" and apparently it recently had an update that added an alarm indicator that was on by default after the update.

FYI I use "Tasks" as my typical reminder app but "To Do Reminder" is a good app for repeat reminders that you never need to mess with and are just there in the background.

Thanks for the help!

See? There you go! You found it! Weird that it would place that icon there, though haha. But oh well, at least now you know how to get rid of it (or live with it if the app is essential but cannot remove the icon, in which case, I'd send the dev some feedback on that particular nuisance).

Thank you so much for mentioning To Do Reminder app. I had exactly the same problem for a couple of days and it was driving me insane!! I contacted Samsung technical support and they couldn't resolve it either. However I decided to join this forum and managed to find the answer on here. :)
