Cant hear other side on Whatsapp video call on Note 9

[Android Central Question]

There is no other problem with the phone. Only during WhatsApp Video call i cannot hear the other person, however they can hear me.
I have tried to update my phone, uninstall and reinstall the app, cleared the cache and turned on all permissions however nothing works. Does anyone have an idea on what else i can try?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you sure it's a problem with your phone? Does this happen with anyone who calls on WhatsApp video, or only with a certain contact?
