Can't import contacts from Facebook's Messenger?

So my LG died, which was synced to my Facebook account. I then borrowed an HTC for a few days, and I synced that one too. Now with my brand new Z3 I can't sync at all. See I've checked the option from the Messenge app, tried importing from the phone's contact book, and yet my contacts don't appear. If i try to add a number manually and add that person's full name, they'll show up in the same way as someone imported from Messenger would, with the icon and everything. Tips? I don't want to manually add everyone I know...

I had this issue with my wife's phone. The fix is pretty easy. Basically, you just have to make sure your FB sync is on. My wife was logged in to FB, but FB sync was off. I turned it on, and she has all her FB contacts on the phone now.

If this explanation is not clear enough, just type 'FB contact sync' in the Sony app that has the users manual, and the walk through should pop right up. That digital manual is quite good, I've used it to solve several problems.
