can't keep e-mail in inbox

Since the update, I have no emails that were in the inbox and they disappear after a couple days. I have tons in sent and trash but not inbox. When I click get older mail, I get everything including junk so when I delete the junk and keep what I want, go away and comeback, the ones I want are gone and the junk is on the trash. It is very frustrating. This is the stock email program on the Acer iconitab. Thanks for the help.
