Cant lower in call volume or mute it in marshmallow

Please tell me how to lower the volume to the lowest
Here is a screen shot of the volume slider it will not go any lower since updating to marshmellow

Hmmm, just tried on my Note 4 with Marshmallow and the volume will go all of the way down while listening to Pandora. Not sure what may be causing this with your phone, have you tried clearing the cache?

I'm talking about the in call phone call volume.it won't go down to the bottom.I'm not talking about music player volume

Come on guys someone here must own a note 4 and be on marchmellow than can help me..can you tell me if you can turn the phone call volume down to the bottom.I cant as you can see in my screen shot and it's annoying.

It doesn't go any lower on my phone either. I think that's to be considered the new low

I face the same problem too on my Asus Zenfone Max on 6.0.1. Volume is too loud in its minimum volume. Volume does not go below the minimum when in call and it hurts listening thru the earpiece.

I have tried different earphones viz. Blackberry, Harmon-Kardon, Sennheiser and some non-branded too. But the result is same. In-call volume is too high even at the minimum.

Can somebody help? I believe a lot of people must be facing the same issue.
