Can't make up my mind between the S6 Edge+ or the Note Edge... Any advice?

I posted this over in the S6 Edge+ forum as well...

I am with Sprint and currently up for an upgrade from my Note 2. I can't decide if I want to get the S6 Edge+ or the Note Edge. Clearly you can tell I like the edge feature. Does the Note Edge have more functionality with it's edge screen or does the Edge+?
With my current phone, I find myself using the S-Pen less and less.
I like the removable battery and SD-card slot, but don't NEED them.
Any reasons why I should choose one over the other?
Thank you for any advice you give me.

If you want pen, note edge. If not, S6 edge+. Though note edge panel has more functionality, if you don't need Spen I suggest S6 edge+ because of superior camera, hardware (faster RAM and storage), and design.

AFAIK the Note Edge still has the most capable edge screen of all those "Edge" phones, even though it was just kind of the prototype. On the newer S6 device range, the Edge seems to be rather basic in terms of integration, maybe because it is not basically a second screen but rather a part of the mainscreen.

The S6 Edge+ is a more modern phone, at least from the comparison videos I have seen the Note 5/Edge+ was more responsive in some aspects. Though I doubt this is related to the hardware but rather more streamlined Touchwiz.
In addition the S6 range is better in terms of upgrades, while the Note Edge is more handled like that unwanted child by Samsung.

So are you saying that going with the S6 Edge+ is probably the better move?

I am just saying if you don't actually use the S-Pen anyways, one of the Note's prime features is already uninteresting. The other feature is the big screen, but the Edge+ also shares it. Now it comes down to the benefits of having a microSD slot and that removable battery, yet you stated these aren't important to you either.

So to me it seems like the strong benefits of the Note (Edge) don't really apply to you anyways. So I guess it's pretty obvious the S6 Edge+ *seems* like a better choice.

Let's just not forget the Edge screen features. The Note Edge has quite some "show off" functions which more or less have only (IMHO) visual benefits, yet there are also very productive things like that app bar, the notification panel, I also like the music player panel and, believe it or not, I find the tool panel useful too.
The S6 Edge has, to my knowledge, none of those features.
I suggest doing some extensive search on the web about the edge displays on both phones. There are quite some videos.

If you are most interested in the edge screens, the Note Edge wins hands down. No contest. The edge screen on the 6+ is almost completely worthless compared to the Note Edge.

My friend has the S6 but not the edge and just realized there is no access to the battery compartment as well as no way to expand the memory via memory card......ala the iPhone......nuff said.

No micro sd, no removable battery, no S pen, very limited edge screen? It's a no brainer for me. The Note edge wins hands down. In fact I will never buy a phone with out some type of external storage. If I wanted all of the features of a S6 edge plus I would just go buy an Iphone. Apple may not have a curved screen but with its limited functionality who cares? At least Apple has great customer service and they stand behind their products. Samsung needs to wake up and realize that the whole reason most consumers bought their products was because they were different from Apple. Now they are just like Apple but with no customer service. I'll be holding on to my Note Edge for a while but as soon as someone comes out with a phone that meets all of my needs I'll be jumping ship. I already replaced my Note tablet with a Microsoft Surface and I couldn't be happier. If Microsoft builds a Surface phone with a sim card watch I'm all in.
