Can't move files/apps to nearly empty SD card

I put a 64GB microSD card in my K20. When I look at "storage" in my settings, it says "3.07 GB used of 62.47 GB," yet when I try to move files or apps to from my internal storage to the SD card, it gives me an error message that says there's not enough room on my SD card. My internal storage is almost entirely full (15.46 GB/16 GB), and there's plenty of stuff I SHOULD be able to move over, but I can't figure out why it's saying my SD card is full when I try.

1. Restart the phone with the card still in it.

2. You can move files, but most apps today can't be moved, because they won't run if they are, and the developers don't want to have to answer emails asking why the app dioesn't run.

3. Create folders on the card in which to put the files. You normally can't put files on the root of the card.

By "restart the phone," do you mean anything other than a soft reset?
That was one of the first things I had tried, but I tried again -- didn't change a thing. I still can't move any files (.pdf, .jpg, .png, .gif, .mp3, .mp4....) or apps that have the capability to be moved (sorry, I should have specified that I meant ones that DO have the option of being stored on the SD card).

I just tried to reply, and it's not showing up -- not sure if there's a delay or if I did something weird and didn't actually reply.
The gist was that I had already tried a soft reset, but I figured hide try again, and it made no difference. When I said that I was trying to move apps, I meant apps that have the capability to be moved. As you said, MOST apps can be removed, but since I'm so low on storage space, I want to move all the ones that have that option.

I'm having the same-ish problem. Out of nowhere, I'm trying to delete files from my SD and it says "cannot delete files" and I look at every folder, and they all say read only. I don't know what else to do, I've tried everything. It's really depressing because I have alot of good pictures and music on there.

The card's controller has likely detected an unrecoverable error and write-locked the card. Copy everything off and replace it.

Given you use a Linux on a laptop or PC, don't use Linux Thunar as your file manager ("mangler") for flash memory: Use Gnome's Nautilus, instead.
