Can't open emails in outlook

I can open outlook on my Samsung phone but when I try to open an email outlook closes. When I try to answer a messenger message that also closes. Following advice on your news page I went into settings and found webview but it already says disabled. The only option accessible to me is force stop. Is this what I should do?

I had that problem on the S3 about 10 years ago, switched to BlueMail, and never went back.

What is blue mail? It's not just an email problem though. When I try to answer a text that system closes as does messenger

Welcome to Android Central! If your phone is running Android 7 through 9, then Chrome is the system webview app by default (and Android System Webview is Disabled). So make sure Chrome is fully up to date, then try again.
