Can't open PDF

I've had this problem before but for the life of me I can't remember how I sorted it out.

Anyhow I use the yahoo mail app as that's all I need for personal stuff, work is a Nokia lumina. However I've only just noticed that PDF files can't be viewed on my g5+ .

They down load ok but when i click on the file to open I get a message saying "can't open file"

I've tried several file managers and file readers but all have failed.

Any ideas?

Ahhh, if i copy the PDF to the Drive app it opens. strange as regular PDF's open straight from the download manager. must be because it was a works email I sent from my work laptop to my personal email on my personal phone.
