Hi,

For some reason my Linkedin account has locked me out and insists that i verify my ID before it lets me back on....it does this by sending me a QR Code.

So i topped up my Samsung SM-J330FN o2 PAYG with £10.

I then pointed the camera on the smartphone to the QR code...but it doesnt seem to recognise it.

I tried to go on the internet and download a QR code reader to the smartphone, but i dont seem to be able to do this.

Please could you help. Surely i have got enough credit on my o2 account to read a QR code?

I just topped up o2 PAYG with £10.

You shouldn't need any balance in your account to read a QR code. The camera app, however, does need to be set up for it (if you go to the camera Settings, there should be a toggle for reading QR codes or not).

If an actual QR Code reader app can't read it, however, the code is likely not in a standard format and can only be read from a specific app (in this case, LinkedIn); there should be an option to do this in-app.

Thanks , but i cant find any "camera settings" on this smartphone. Its 7 years old and i wonder if it pre-dates QR codes?
There seems to be no reference to QR codes anywhere on this phone?

You might have to install a QR code scanner from either Google Play or the Samsung store. For free ones you'll probably get adds though.
