Can't receive text messages

Just got me a new Echo because I couldn't update my firmware and now I can't receive text messages. The other person sends it with no error but I never receive it.

Any ideas?

I'm considering getting a new phone and selling this one.

Perhaps there is enough Apple-branded hardware nearby to affect competing devices with their famous Reality Distortion Field?

In seriousness, try getting various people to message you. Even now I sometimes receive messages more than a day after they were sent.

Well I talked to Sprint and they claim there are technical difficulties in my area in southern Florida. Should be resolved by 6pm tonight.

In the meantime I've been in bidding wars on ebay for an Evo 3d and a Nexus S.
