Can't recieve email after I did the Kit Kat update

Can't receive email in my Galaxy Note 2 after I put in the Kit Kat update, I can't send email out but not receiving in

I posted this for my brother in law.
He called me and spoke to Verizon, and they told him to remove and then reinstall his Email account, he said it may be OK for now, he is doing more testing, he is using Cox email.

OK, this problem is solved, email OK now.

Could you please post what you did to fix it? It may help others in the future.

I had him uninstall his email provider Cox provider, reinstall, all is good. Like removing app and reinstall.
