My Nexus 6 has been rooted and working just fine for me for a few years now. I originally used the Nexus Root Toolkit to do everything and up to this point it has always worked.

I recently grabbed the latest build NGI77B and installed it using the toolkit but now I cannot get the phone rooted again.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Any successful workarounds?

I've tried everything I know to do: reinstalled drivers, switched cables and ports.

The specific issue is that ADB recovery device cannot be found. Even after I update the drivers it still indicates that it cannot be found.

Any help would be appreciated.

Flash the latest image. Get it back to stock(like brand new). Start over with the root process, but don't use a kit. Enter the commands manually, one at a time, and it's better to learn that way. Read up on it, before you start it. Good luck.:p
