Can't see my gallery pictures from desktop shortcut

When I first started testing the camera pictures could be viewed from the gallery (flower) icon on the home screen.

Now, tapping on that shortcut brings only the two pictures I uploaded to use as backgrounds.

In order to see my gallery pictures I have to open the camera and click on the small picture at the bottom.

Aren't I supposed to see albums when I click on the gallery shortcut on the home screen?

Yes. Have you rebooted the phone? I used to have a similar issue on my DX1, but it was usually fixed with a reboot.

That did the trick - thanks so much!

It's the ubiquitous solution for computer problems of all types, "When in doubt, REBOOT"!:)

Yes...the reboot solves the problem of the gallery not working properly.

Just wanted to report that I've repeated had problems with the gallery showing only one or two pictures and having to reboot.

Anyone else have this problem?

Still a persistent problem

Tapping on gallery often only shows only one picture and I have to reboot to get the full gallery to show.

Obviously this is some sort of software glitch that I hope they fix...unless someone can suggest a better fix than having to reboot.

Something is wonky, either you have a corrupted file, or there is something wrong with your SD card. It could also be the Gallery app.

1. Backup all your data (photos) on the SD card and then delete the contents and re-introduce one file at a time to find out which file is the culprit.
See if that solves your issue?

2. Backup all contents of the SD card and reformat your card.

3. Clear the Gallery Apps Data (make sure to backup as this will delete all your data).
See if that solves your issue?

4. Clear the phones Cache

Ricky's suggestions are good ones. If you are unsure how to clear the Gallery data, then follow these steps:
  • Menu > Settings > Application Manager
  • Select All
  • Scroll down and select Gallery
  • Tap Clear Data
  • Back out of Settings and return to the Home screen
  • Open tthe Gallery app
Are all of your pictures there?

Re:I am so embarrassed!....

I didn't notice that the word message or messaging was next to the icon at the top of the screen.

When I tapped on that I saw the gallery option and the galleries showed.

I don't do text messaging, so I guess I just blocked out that work.

I think my problem is solved.
