Can't see what time people send me a text message

Hi I've got a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on O2. I've received a couple of text messages recently but the sender said thy sent them like 3 hours earlier than I received them. My problem is It only shows the time I received them & not the time they actually sent them. This is quite important part of texting to me. Does anybody know how to fix this please?

By default, most texting apps will show you only the time that the message arrived at your phone.

Some texting apps will give you the option of seeing the time sent, if you enable that feature. This feature usually does not exist on the basic apps that come pre-installed on the phone.

In the app Textra, when viewing the messages in the conversation, swipe left to see the time sent.

That said, if the SMS messages are not getting delivered in a timely fashion, you should contact your carrier.
