Cant seem to figure it out

ok im tryin to root my phone and i am completely frustrated! every file offered in other posts will not download. i get an error message that says file type not supported. i am a super noob to all of this so if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.

You download the file/s that are needed to your PC.
