My mom just recently found out that her note 4 can't send pictures through her stock text message! The only way I got it to work was through go sms pro, which shouldn't be necessary for an expensive phone like this. I have a note 4 also but it is working fine. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Please let me know if you have a fix! I would greatly appreciate it.

Hmm...tht's really strange..Did you try sending it to a different phone #? Sometimes I have found that a particular phone # for some reason's don't work. I am using Chomp SMS so i never had this issue. How about the size of the message? Big pictures can't go thru most of the times...Did you try sending that same pic from your note 4?

Honestly, I would ditch stock and go SMS. I used both for years and was recently turned on to Textra. It is one of the best. There are others as well that are good too, but Textra is feature rich and attaching pics from the gallery or the camera are one touch. Great app. Just my suggestion for a fix.

My guess is that the photos she's trying to send on stock messaging app is the pic file is too large (2+ MB). Either dial down the resolution on the camera or run the pics through a photo enhancer app to scale it down for texting/emailing.

wow these apps look great! I am having doubts with go sms as they took my money and i got downgraded to the ads version again.
I just downloaded textra and will give chomp sms a look also! Thanks for these recommendations. I still don't know what the problem could be with it but hopefully it'll get resolved somehow.
that's weird because she took the pic from her phone I believe and wanted to send it to my dad. hopefully the problem will resolve somehow by its own after restarting the phone or something..
Go SMS took my money too. Only good for a year and I bought everything including the launcher. A year later boom! Back to adds...back to stock. On the Textra hit the "+" in an open thread. Camera, smilelies, even a "schedule send " is in that area. And it's totally customizable...except for the bubbles...they are working on that. Good luck!

As far as What may be wrong...could be data off...phone should resize pic but could be something wrong with that. You rebooted phone. Did that fix it? At one time or another I have had that problem once and it was a carrier problem. Called them and everything fixed next day. Happened to a friend of mine and she did nothing. Worked great the next day.

hmm I am not sure to be honest. We have been using textra and it has been smooth. I think i'm going to continue using textra as my default messenger

In that case, if she set herself up with imessage that could be part of the problem.
She will have to get her number removed from the Apple servers.
If using textra fixed the problem, I'd just keep using that.
Until she removes her number from imessage, though, there is a chance some people won't get her messages.
