Can't send screenshots?

Hey guys, I just recently bought myself an HTC one, switching from an Iphone 4 and so far I am loving it. But I do have one small issues not sure if it is a bug or it just cant do it. I tried sending one of my friends a screenshot that I took on my phone. My friend told me that she never go it and that the image "is not supported and was deleted". She has an Iphone. I then tried taking a picture and it worked fine. So my question is can you not send screenshots to non android phones? Thanks!

EDIT: I tried sending a screenshot to my sisters phone and her phone is and android and same thing happened, said it cant open PNG files

Screenshots are saved as png files I believe. Does I phone not support png? Try sending it to a real phone and see.

I just sent one from one gmail address to another. No problems.

Are you using gmail? Is she?

I sent her an email with the screenshot and it opened fine but she still cannot receive my screenshots if I send it through text message

Just sent a screenshoot text with the stock app to my friend with an Iphone. He saw it fine.

What is the stock app? sorry I don't know much about android phones

There are several aftermarket Texting apps (Handcent, Go SMS, etc..) available in the Playstore. Stock app means the one HTC built into the phone.

Ok gotcha, strange cause I am also using the stock texting but I my friends cant receive it. If you don't mind me asking what kind of Iphone does your friend have? maybe I can only send screenshots to more advanced phones?

I believe it's an Iphone 4. The files are definitely png, so if the phones your sending them to can't open that format then you're screwed. Converting them to another format would be your only option. Maybe their texting app can't view them, but they are on the phone and can be opened by another app if they can find where the text messages download the images to.

So I found out that if I send 2 screen shots, the first one does not show up but the second one does. So is this maybe a bug? anyone else having issues?

Couldn't you just send them as an attachment to an email, instead of as an MMS? I find it hard to believe that an iphone cannot handle a .png file. (As Led Zappa said, above, it might be the texting app with issues.)
