I've tried to send a link from my PC to my Pixel phone using Google Chrome via send to devices. It hasn't worked. I can send a link from my phone to my pc using the devices link. When it pops up chrome offers Open Tab. How do I accomplish sending a link from my PC, using the devices tab, to my pixel phone? I would like to use chrome, if I can.

Welcome to Android Central forums. You don't really say if the link is a web page but since you're sending it from Chrome I'll assume it is. I don't really use any of these features but a quick Google turned up this AI reply listing multiple ways to share a web page from a PC to an Android device.

Here are some ways to send a link from a PC to an Android device:
  • Use Google Chrome
Right-click on a link on a web page, then select Send to your devices. Choose the device you want to send the link to, and it will appear as a notification on the device.
  • Use the Link to Windows app
Link your Android device and PC using the Phone Link app on your PC and the Link to Windows app on your Android device. Then, open a browser on your Android device, navigate to the webpage you want to share, and select the Link to Windows app from the browser's Share menu.
  • Use the Quick Share app
Download and install the Quick Share app on your Windows PC, sign in to your Google account, and set your device visibility preferences. You can then use the app to send and receive content between your Android device and Windows PC.
  • Use Nearby sharing
On your PC, select Start, then Settings, then System, then Nearby sharing. Choose whether to share with everyone or only your own devices.
You can also use a USB cable or your Google Account to move files between your computer and Android device.

Your first suggestion is what I use to do with my Samsung S7. I don't get the notification on the Pixel. Using Google chrome.

Welcome to Android Central! On your phone, go to Settings>Apps, then select Chrome>Notifications. Is the toggle for Sharing turned on?

Yes it's turned on. When I choose the website that I want to share the option for Google Pixel is there from the PC. I don't get the notification though on the phone. I'm assuming Chrome isn't sending the link.

Ok, on the phone, open Chrome, then go to its settings menu, and then tap Sync. Is everything set to sync there?

Yes it says "Synch everything". I'm puzzled because I can send a link from my phone to the PC. I also tried to disable my antivirus and it still didn't work.

You don't have multiple Google accounts, do you? If you do, make sure the phone is logged into the same Google account as on your Chrome browser.

Also, is everything up to date on the phone? November security patch? October Google Play System Update?

I don't have multiple Google accounts. I had an Samsung S7 that I removed from my Google account. I update my phone daily. I can however use Quickshare, and PC Link. I had an issue with Quickshare it needed a current wi fi driver.

Can you confirm that your Google Play system update is up to date? I ask because not everyone is aware of this as a separate kind of update from the monthly security update. Go to Settings>Security & Privacy>Updates and tap Google Play System Update there.

That's not quite the menu I'm thinking of. Go to Settings>Security & Privacy>System & Updates and show us a screenshot of that.

Yeah, that looks up to date. But there can be Google Play system updates that stay on the same month, so it's always worth tapping that and seeing if there might be an update that's pending.
