Can't send text with photo attached while on WiFi

Both my HTC One and my wife's have the same issue - while connected to Wifi, we can't send a text with a photo attached. Disconnect from Wifi and the text and photo go through. I wasted 30 minutes on the phone with Sprint, doing the reset ##72786#, update Profile, PRL, etc, to no avail. It seems like this has been an issue in the past with Sprint and a number of phones, but I've found no definitive solution. It seems the phone is unable to use the data network for the MMS (photo) while connected to Wifi.

Anyone know of a solution?

Evidently that's how Sprint has their phones set up - they can't use the data connection for MMS if Wifi is on. It's a Sprint design thing, and no one but the people at Sprint who make these decisions can fix it, unless someone writes an app that forces phone data for MMS when Wifi is running.

Its like we use to have VoLTE and they took that away from us. Pay more get less.
