Android Central Question

So long story short, my friend gave me an old phone of his, it had a password onn it and he didn't know it. So I retes it with "down volume, home button, power button". Now, when I sign in to google, it says "device has had password change in last 24 hours, try again in 24 hours". I obliged. I try again, same message. I do not know the model of the phone, but when it boots up it says "Samsung On5". If anyone knows how to fix this please help, if not, is there any was I can skip setup wizard?

The model is On5 (in case you need to know in the future).

Ask your friend to use his new password to get into the phone. Then you set it up. After it's set up, go into Settings > Accounts and delete his Google account. (You'll have your Google account in there, of course. You put it in during the setup.)

Welcome to Android Central! Factory Reset Protection depends on the Google account and password that was originally associated with the phone. If your friend can't remember his Google account and password used for the phone, then the phone will be useless to you. Sorry!
