Hi - I've just got a new Samsung S3 Mini (GT-18190N) with Android 4.1.2. I'm trying to connect via USB to myphoneexplorer, which requires connection as 'USB Charging Only' and with USB Debugging enabled.

When I connect the USB, the phone gives me only 2 options - Connect as Media Device (MTP) or Connect as Camera (PTP). Neither of these seems to work with myphoneexplorer.

Also, when I check in the Developer Options, there is an option for USB Debugging, but it seems to be greyed out (nothing happens when I try to tick the check box).

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thanks - Famulus

hi if you look in developer options at the top right of the screen you will see the on off slider. touch it and slide to the right then you can activate the debugging options

Thanks, Chris - I didn't see the slider. That's fixed one problem - anyone have a suggestion on the USB charging only?

Solution found! MPE doesn't need Charging Only (for this device at least) - the driver wasn't fully installed, and that's what was stopping it from working. The driver installation required a re-boot, but the message hid itself behind all my other windows, and I only found it this morning when I was closing down for other reasons. MPE now working fine.

Thanks again, Chris, for your response - I don't think I'd have found that one without your help. :0)

Famulus,
I have not figured out how to get MyPhoneExplorer to connect to my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 via USB.
I have been working at it for several hours now.
I am getting no traction with anything I have tried.
How did you get your setup to work?
I am new to both Android and Samsung phones, so be as detailed as possible.
Thanks,
Gene
