can't sideload update

Little confused. I got the android SDK, installed the driver, but it says Samsung driver.

When I boot to recovery, then press sideload, the PC drops the phone. It can not longer be found with adb devices. Therefore, I can't use adb sideload update.zip.

Any ideas?
