Tried to take a screen shot holding volume down and power button. That brings up the power off screen. I turned off Bixby routines which used to come up whith the power off button. That button does power off the phone.

So how do we take a screen shot now?

There’s a knack to pressing both buttons simultaneously. I regularly get it annoyingly wrong myself, on one phone in particular. But are you saying that in your case it doesn’t work even with impeccable technique?

Go to settings >advanced features >motion and gestures and turn on palm swipe for screen shot.

Hold the two buttons briefly and then release. On my Pixel 3 XL you held the buttons until you got the screenshot taken animation. On the Samsungs you get that *after* you release the buttons. If you continue to hold them you get the power buttons.

Good point

Well that explains why I was doing it wrong . I came from a Pixel 3xl . I happened to stumble onto releasing the buttons quickly to get it to work on the 20+.
