Can't take Screenshots [[LG G3]

When attempting to take a Screenshot, I press the power button + Volume down simultaneously. Unfortunately, the volume up/down appears on-screen when pressing volume & that volume screen appears on the Screenshot. How do I do Screenshots without the annoying volume bar ruining the shot?

Have you tried the other method? Swipe down from the top of the screen, click on Quick Memo, save the screenshot from Quick Memo to the gallery.
