Question Can't turn off music (tunein radio)

So, tunein start when I start android auto. Thats awesome! Thats exactly what I want. I start the car it connects and stars playing music. great.. Then, the only option I see is to "Pause" it. So I pause it.. And then as soon as something involving audio happens "Text message, waze saying there is a red light camera ahead) it starts playing again!
So how do I, for the current "ride" only, after it starts playing, stop it, and not have it start again until next time I load android auto (The next "ride")

I don't use AA so I'm not overly familiar with all of its ins and outs so just a couple of questions.

Did you achieve this auto play through a setting? Was the setting in AA or TuneIn?

Is there a setting for "pause for notification"?

The only advice I can think to offer would be changing the setting for pause for notification if you have one and see what the result is. It might prevent it from trying to resume is what I'm thinking.

Otherwise I would suggest trying the TuneIn Radio community here, or reaching out to the developer for assistance. Both the community and the developer would have a better idea of how the app works and works with AA, than a bunch of randos who may not use one, the other or neither.

Let us know what you find should someone else end up here looking for the same thing.
