Can't Turn On Wifi on Galaxy S3?

i also have the same problem on my S4, basically the wifi wont turn on, i already did flashing firmware, wipe cache and dalvik cache but still the same thing

You just need to update the phone through Kies samsung software. Because it is an official software to update your samsung device.

have you tried reflashing the whole package?

also before you do anything, try this app called Wifi fixer

Hello, I'm also having this issue. Was on Omega 4.1.2 jelly bean rom when the wifi stopped working. I flashed an omega aokp milestone jelly bean 4.2.2 using mobile odin pro but the wifi still won't turn on! Somebody help.

I also got this problem, and my girlfriend as well.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Cyanogenmod. I updated using the cyanogen updater, kind of OTA method. In my case I can fix it by turning flight mode on and off. I tried deleting the cache partition, the dalvik cache, etc. Keeps failing.

The funny thing is that my girlfriend, with the Nexus 4, has the same problem since she updated over-the-air when she got the notification about a new version (4.3) for Nexus.
The only thing in common, we both come from a rooted version.

Hey, i restored my Wifi preferences using a previous backup i did in Samsung Kies, and the problem was solved.

The problem is your modem and/or kernel. For the Samsung Galaxy S4, you can flash an updated modem fix via odin here: [REF] GALAXY S4 (I9500/I9505) GSM / NON-HLOS.bin - MODEM'S Collection (Odin/CWM/TWRP) - xda-developers

The problem is I have no idea how to make out what files I need. None of those codes make any sense to me.
