Can't type Or text while connected to blue tooth in car?

Hi..i just updated my Samsung galaxy s7 and it won't allow me to access the keyboard while the phone is connected to Bluetooth.

Is this a new feature?
Can It be disabled?

Strange. I don't have this issue when connected to my car's Ford Sync via Bluetooth. I'm on Nougat OS.

I think Samsung has some type of built in car mode. When I connect to my pickups Bluetooth it won't tell me I have a text, just Auto replys with can't talk now driving, or something to that effect.
I had to switch messaging apps from stock Samsung because of it. It's not GPS enabled because I was outside the truck.

I have no issue with this with Uconnect in my ram.

Haven't tried since update, but there is a car mode, and maybe the update switched that on. The update switched on Samsung Pay and several other apps I had disabled.
