Can't unblock a number

[Android Central Question]

So i blocked this number and i want to unblock it but my phone wont let me (Galaxy note 5) after i unblocked it it still shows that the number is blocked. Im able to call them but unable to recieve any calls from them the phone automatically rejects their calls as if theyre still blocked.. im not using any 3rd party blocking app or anything, im not blocking them on any other app only from my contacts.. how to fix this?

Try going into settings, apps and phone and clearing the cache and the data and press force stop.

Then reopen the app and see if the blocked number can now be removed.

I know this is a late reply but, I was going crazy trying to figure out the same problem for my fathers phone. It was the same exact situation where a particular contacts phone number was showing up as blocked in the call log but they could still text him and he could call her with no issues. It turned out that under the contacts, he had her number routed straight to voicemail. On android phones there is an option to send specific phone number straight to voicemail. If you disable that it should fix the problem. Hope this helps every one else who is pulling their hair out!
