Hello,

Any idea how I could solve this problem?
My phone was configured to use fingerprint scan and a 6 digit numerical password, which had a zero in it. This morning I upgraded my EMUI from 10.0 to 10.1, but when the upgrade was completed and the phone got restarted. I'm now unable to open it as the screen says "PIN required after restart" (6 slots for 6 digits, which is correct, but a 9 digit keyboard), I'm quite certain I had no pin configured, and instead it was a password, even the notification on a locked screen says "Password required after restart".

So long story short: My fingerprint is recognized and I remember my password, but I'm unable to enter it because the 9 digit PIN keyboard has no zero on it.
Any ideas? Hoping to avoid a hard reset....

A Volume Down/Power button "hard reset" might restore your zero. A factory reset would require access to the phone first, and you're not going that route on this type reset. It's worth a try.

Welcome to Android Central! Was this an official system update pushed over-the-air, or did you download the update file from some website?
