Can't Unlock!

I can't unlock my phone....it is pretty much frozen (but is showing when I have a phone call or a new email). I can turn the screen off with the lock button but I can't slide down to unlock or to answer a phone call. I have tried restarting but it won't restart unless I take the battery out, so I took the battery out for the entire night, tried it again this morning and still can't unlock the phone....any ideas?!

Touch screen may be on the fritz. I'd call customer service and see if they have any other suggestions otherwise they'll need to send a replacement
