Has anyone else received the message "Waiting for network"? I haven't been able to update any apps the last few days.

I had the issue with a G4 Plus on 6.0, there's a thread in Moto G5 also.

Mine would only update apps on WiFi then went away when 7.0 pushed out.

For the moment, open the Application settings, go to Application, open Google Play store , the 3 little dots on the upper right side, uninstall the updates. Close.
Open the Play Store, and update.
Till it's fixed, this is the easiest way to update your apps.

I can't even install an app that hasn't been installed before.

I can install apps from Amazon. Just not from Google's play store. How can that be?

This **** is getting annoying. Idk if it's my Axon7 or Google, but this is like 2 weeks of this ****

Is it doing this when connected to WiFi?

I had this issue on a Moto G4 Plus. When connected to 4G I could not update or download anything's from the play store. However it actually would work on WiFi.

Once the phone updated to 7.0 the problem went away.

I'm looking at buying this phone but now holding off.

Doesn't matter how it's connected. Play store is dead unless you constantly uninstall and reinstall. PITA right now. I hope ZTE and Goggle figure out a solution QUICK!

Strangely enough if I put my phone to charge and the Play Store is set on automatically update apps on Wi-Fi , the apps update successfully! (it may take a while).

Fixed issue on Axon 7: go to Settings >> Apps >> Gear icon in upper right >> Special Access >> Unrestricted Data Access. Then flip the switch on for the Google Play Store app.
