Can't use backup Google drive

I'm switching from a nexus 6p to a Huawei p10 lite. I've made a backup of the nexus to Google drive. But my p10 can't find it... I've checkt Google drive and the backup is there but the p10 doesn't display it in the initial setup fase...

Please help me get the backup to my new phone

Is the P10 running at least the same version of Android as the Nexus was, or newer? It's possible the backup will need to restore to the same Android version or newer...

Thank you for your reply! The phones are different android versions. The nexus one is running the latest version of Android. The p10 can't be updated to that jet. Is it possible to put back a backup of a. Newer version of Android to an older one?
