Cant use smart lock with fingerprint lock enabled?

Tried a few times to set this up using known locations. The phone recognizes its at the known location but i still cant unlock without having to use the fingerprint scan. It would be key if i didn't have to use the scan every time Im in a comfortable locale. Any help ?

Every time or just once in a while. I have the problem once in a while, but mostly it works.
