Hi,

I'm using the galaxy 9+.

Until the 6th March where I've downloaded an update i was able to use long press on the recent running tasks in order to split the screen and use multi windows, since i downloaded the update that doesn't work anymore. anyone have an idea if that permanently removed or did i mistakenly change something in the settings?

Thanks,

Ofer

It got changed, allegedly due to some Google policy. Now to get to Split Screen, it depends on whether you have Samsung's Good Lock tools or just stock.

On your current state, open the recents view then tap the icon of the app on the top. You'll have the option to view it in split screen there.

If you have Good Lock's TaskSwitcher, you can just go to recents view and then long press and drag up or down for split screen.

You can still easily do split screen, just a different way

In a *worse* way. Before, you could fluidly open a second app while keeping a video playing. Now, you have to tap the recent button, swipe back to video app, hold the app icon, select your second app, then press play on video. Not only is that terrible for listening to music, but it slows productivity when a video gives the idea to message someone, search something, or write a note.

You need Good Lock and Multistar. Check if it's available to you on Galaxy Store. You will get back what you lost.
