The wait for Capital one may be sooner than we expected. They said this coming year.

I thought this would be best moved to the Samsung Pay forum--hope you don't mind!

Thank you for the information. I just checked Samsung website and it's not listed yet. I can't wait. My credit union is a small one and it supports no phone payment systems last time I checked. The list on Samsung site is huge. I'm glad it's catching on.

I just checked Capital One's facebook, looked at the Visitors Posts, and someone asked about Samsung pay. As of the time I looked (just now) this was their reply 3 hours ago:

Capital One - We don’t currently support Samsung Pay, but are always evaluating tech for mobile payments. Check out our Capital One Wallet app! ^TS

Sounds like a no go anytime soon. I'd really like it to work. My AmEx doesn't seem to work at walmart for me. ;(

Whoever here has Capital One, please post on their FB page or contact them. These people need to get on the ball. I am tired of waiting for them.

I'd definitely like to see CapOne come to Samsung Pay (on paper, Samsung Pay is great, but its lackluster bank support kind of sucks), but I'd like to note that they implemented tap to pay on their own mobile app, and it's possible the reason we've yet to see CapOne on Samsung Pay is because they're trying to get people to use their own app...and while more choices are great for the consumer, sometimes businesses don't make decisions with the consumer's best interests in mind. :D

I should stress that this is purely a hypothetical (possible reason why CapOne is one of the big boys still not found on Samsung Pay).

I knew they made their own application and I like their effort but the only thing with their app is that its only useful at stores with NFC support which is lackluster in the United States. If they got on board with Samsung Pay, there could be a possibility of more people using it if they have Capital One

CapOne is the only card I have that I can't add... I'll go bug them on social media about it. They probably keep up with how many times subjects come up.

Last post yesterday on their Facebook visitors posts:

"Thanks for reaching out. No ETA yet but we will be sure to let everyone know! Stay tuned. "

Maybe this means they're considering it.

Finally available! I had to download capital one wallet, but the card shows on my Samsung Pay when I swipe up cards!
