So I've had the OEM case for a few weeks now.
Impressions:
Appearance:
Not, I repeat NOT carbon fiber as advertised. It has the carbon look imprinted on a flexible but tough ABS plastic. I was a little annoyed. That being said, it doesn't look bad and does have the sweet metal Galazy S plate glued on to the rear of the case.
It is a full body case, so it does add some bulk to the phone, but its not horrible.
Fit
The case is two pieces and snaps together with a series of tabs that sit inside a thin grove on the lower unit. Fitting it the first time was not quite clear as the kit didn't have instructions, but I figured it out. After a disassembly, the lower left corner wouldn't seat fully. This was annoying to me so I operated on it to make it a better fit by cutting the grove out a little. This seems to be doing the trick and I have removed and replaced it a few times with no further issue.
Grip
The case is lightly rubberized and provides good grip while not being so sticky that you can't put it in your pocket easily.
Overall
Overall, I am reasonably satisfied. I was really hoping for the light weight of carbon and the cool look, but plastic isn't much heavier.
The wierd fit was annoying until resolved.
The case seems together enought that I don't fear that it will come apart if I drop it.
