I've noticed an annoying issue with WiFi. When I go to work it connects to the wifi flawlessly, but when I go home I have to actually turn Wifi off and back on to get it to connect.

My wifi stopped connecting altogether. I get no icon yet it shows obtaining my settings. I have pulled the battery connected and disconnected the wifi. reset settings and all it keeps saying obtaining. I have tried wifi analyzer and it shows my ssid but says no wifi.
This is on top of the battery issues I am having since updating to froyo. I am getting disgusted fast cause I haver to go back to Africa and would like this phone to be working and hold a charge for more then 6 hrs.
But I need to get the wifi back up asap

OK I looked around and finally got it to work.
I first tried terminal Emulator and all it did was force close. So I tried Android terminal Emulator and that was able to get my wifi icon. Still when I went and put my settings back it would lose everything and start saying obtaining wifi. Then I tried FXR Wifi fix and rescue. I thought it was working but again the same thing. I got the icon with a question all the way at the left side of the screen on the top. Then when I put my WAP back it would do the same crap. Then I read someone had luck with going into all share and trying. After going into settings it finally connected. I turned it off and back on and it looks like it is finding my wifi.

Whats going on here with all these problems. I googled unable connecting on captivate after 2.2 froyo update and there is a slew of problems. I mean after all this time waiting for the update they cant figure it out. Maybe they should hire the people at XDA to do their work for them.

The battery life of my captivate after upgrading to 2.2 went down the toilet too. I don't have any apps running in the background either, and my battery drops fast.

I am so sorry to come here and BI^*H about the phone because I do like it. But between the Wifi issue I am having or hopefully had and the Battery life that is getting worse.
I watched my battery go down faster then my gas tank guage today. I went to open an email and by the time it opened from a 80% battery it was at 25% according to the meter. Then I went to open another and it went dead. All within 4 hrs. Now when the phone goes into the yellow icon I cant connect to the internet. The 3g goes grey and stays that way till I plug it into the wall. I have had no problem when I had a 2.1 rooted with voodoolag fix. But no matter how pretty the phone looks with the flash player and the e-mail subject scrolling across the top. This phone is becoming a paper weight real fast. Forget about using GPS without it plugged in I get maybe 20min before it is dead.
I have tried Juice Defender, Advanced Tack Killer and even the Task Manager that the 2.2 has added. I am thinking of just going back to 2.1 or trying Cognition or Another 2.2 OS before I throw it back onto the 2.1 OS.

ATT besides taking things away and making people have to pay you really F^%ked this one up real good. Thanks for nutin.

You might wanna try to recalibrate your battery. There's a link here somewhere.

BUT WHERE'S GINGERBREAD FOR MY PHONE DAMMIT!?!?!!! Just joking, a lily bit...lol. I won't hold my breathe and wait for it to be released by Sammy or AT&T..lol.

I feel like battery is better on stock froyo. I was running di11i and battery would be dead in about 8 hours. Now after 12 hours I still have 68% left.
