Capturing raw image files with S6 camera

I always capture raw (rather than jpeg) images with my digital camera. Post processing raw files in Lightroom gives me greater exposure latitude and dynamic range. This is the one thing I miss from my LG G3. I'd love to see Samsung include this capability in a firmware update.

It is available in 5.1.1 just not with the stock camera app

I'm not so sure it's Android OS. I have the "Camera FV-5 app on my S6 and it supports raw capture on phones that support it.That app even worked on my LG-G3 with older android OS versions. That's why I believe it will require a firmware update from Samsung. Either way... I hope it comes.

This is a screen shot from an app called Manual Camera Compatibility, it's checks what manual options are available inv your phone. This was taken after the 5.1.1 update.
