Car App randomly opening?

For the past two hours, I have been receiving an error message that my HTC One is connected to USB but not charging (despite NOT actually being connected to USB nor me actually charging it either. Rather I am just carrying my phone around the house like most people at this time of day)
When I tap on the notification, it launches the Car App, or the Car App will just randomly open after the error message pops up. Is anyone else having this issue with their Sprint HTC One?

This has not happened since Sunday, so it may have resolved itself.

Not having the issue with it randomly opening, i'm having an issue with it not opening automatically when it's plugged into my car dock like it use to.

I am having this problem too since the KitKat update (I think). I finally figured out that if I put my phone in the HTC car dock before I start the car then the car app comes like it should. For some reason if the cable has power to it (from the car) then the car app no longer triggers. Hope they get this fixed at a some point but until then training myself to put my phone in the car dock before I put my keys in.
