Car Audio Issues

The Nexus 4 maximum volume isn't loud enough for the audio in jack in may car.
Is there any internal setting for this or an app to increase it?
My old Droid Pro is fine.

Another non specific question is charging in the car while using the audio out is pretty noisy due to the ground loop through the charger.
This happened on my old phone too. Are there any isolated car chargers on the market?

My aux is loud enough, about the same as the S3 i had before the Nexus4

Definitely quieter than the One X.

I find that the audio quality/sound is MUCH lower on my N4 through audio in jack than my wife iphone5. It is also much lower than when my N4 is connected via bluetooth. Bluetooth, however, has been cutting out often as of late.
