Car Dock for Large Phones using ProClips USA and Ball Mount

Which screen protector are you using?

BodyGuardz Pure tempered glass that I got at the ATT store. I am very lucky that I do not have that much of a halo effect, as I have read that there are a lot of these (and others) that have this problem. (And the ATT sales associate installed it for me!)

I mentioned why in my original post :). I also love the easy in and out with one hand. You can also use this with a few different phones. There is also swivel with this one.

Harry,

Wouldn't you know I just thought of another question? Can you measure the iOttie's suction cup diameter for me, preferably in millimeters, please? I'm considering how I'm going to mount it to my dash. Thank you.

I love the setup like this I just don't like the price when you have to get 2 proclip pieces and the iottie or the proclip Note adaptor. Adds up to around $100 any way you piece it together

That is correct. In my case, I already had the two of them and used them for my iBolt setup. Consider it an investment. While the actual device holder may change as you get a new phone, the dash mount and ball will not.

I have been using this mount for quite some time now. I use it to hold my phone in my truck and transfer it to my motorcycle to hold my GPS too.

They also make a larger one that may work better for a phone the size of the Note 4.

This is the suction cup mount I use in my truck. I have a handlebar mount for my motorcycle.

It is rock solid and does not move at all while I'm driving even in my truck with its firm 4X4 suspension. I also have a Ram tablet mount that hooks onto the suction cup mount and I use it to hold my Nexus 10.

The dash mount changes as you change vehicles but the ball and universal device holder (whether it's Proclips or iOttie) would stay the same. The fact that the Proclips mount is designed to fit a particular vehicle and fits into the dash panel seams is I think it's most attractive feature. I don't want my phone mounted on top of the dash, the vents aren't stable enough to use as a mounting base and that leaves very few places that have enough room to mount a suction cup. I like the Proclips side of console mount.
